Julie Wynne: Treasurer
Julie was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and her family moved back to Wirral when she was a child.
After attending Birkenhead High School for Girls she went to the University of Central Lancashire to complete her degree in accountancy.
Julie is now the chief finance officer of Capenhurst based EA Technology, a company which promotes the development of resilient, accessible, low cost energy networks around the world. She joined EA at the turn of the millennium and, as a board member since 2016, helps to drive strategic growth while managing the company’s financial stability.
Living in Barnston and being a part of our Wirral community, Julie appreciates that the hospice is a key organisation delivering services that families, regardless of background, may have experience of during their lives.
Julie chairs the Finance and Infrastructure Governance Committee and also chairs the investment committee.
Her ambition for the hospice is for us to expand our reach out into the Wirral community, building on our long-standing good reputation for the care and support of people with life-limiting illnesses, while maintaining a stable and secure income stream.
Charity and community is in her DNA. Her mum and dad trained Guide Dogs for the blind and, as well as her role at Wirral Hospice, Julie has a long standing role as treasurer of Wirral Cricket Club.
Julie enjoys a night out at the theatre and holidays with the family. She also likes walking and running to keep fit and has completed 5K, 10K and half marathons.
