In Memory donations

Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a way of celebrating the life of someone special and helps the hospice to continue with the very special care we provide to our patients, their families and carers.

You may want to commemorate a birthday, anniversary or another special occasion in memory of a loved one, or simply to support Wirral Hospice St John’s in their honour.

If you would like to make a donation in memory of your loved one you can post a cheque made payable to Wirral Hospice St Johns with a letter stating your name and address and clearly indicating the name of your loved one.  Donations can be posted to:

Fundraising Office, Wirral Hospice St John’s, Mount Road, Higher Bebington, Wirral, CH63 6JE.

Alternatively, you can call 0151 343 0778 to donate over the phone, set up a Tribute Fund in their memory or make a donation online.

You can also make a regular donation in memory of a loved one, this can be monthly or annually on a birthday or date that is special to you. To make a monthly regular donation online by direct debit please click here to sign up by Just Giving, or download and return our standing order form.

Funeral Donations

Often, families choose to request donations to the hospice in lieu of flowers at the funeral. There are a variety of ways you can collect donations in lieu of flowers. Please see our funeral donations page for more information and advice on collecting donations at a funeral.

Light up a Life

Light up a Life is a special campaign that brings everyone together to remember their loved ones at Christmas time. Each Christmas, 10,000 lights shine brightly from the trees and buildings surrounding the Hospice, each light representing a loved one. We hold a Light up a Life carol service in early December where we gather in the hospice gardens and sing carols, listen to readings and switch on our Christmas lights. Following the switch on service, our Lights are illuminated each evening and early morning up to Christmas and then stay on until the twelfth night. If you would like to dedicate a light in memory of a loved one please call 0151 343 0778 or make a Light up a Life donation online
