Handmade items:

We are often asked if we would like anything to be made for us. We have to be really careful about what materials we use in patient care environments, so we cannot have knitted or crocheted blankets, for example. There are also restrictions on what we can legally sell through our charity shops, Trading Standards are very strict about the sales of items that could be flammable or dangerous for children to play with.

We are currently appealing for our crafty supporters to help with the following items:

– Large bags
– Fabric hearts
– Tote bags for children & teenagers
– Worry worms
– Syringe driver bags

PDF: Wirral Hospice handmade bags and things – which has approx. sizes and materials we kindly ask for each item.

Please can any handmade items be brought to our fundraising office (so we can thank you and store the items safely until they are needed). Our fundraising office is open Mon to Fri 9am-5pm. Please call 0151 343 0778, if you would like to know where to park whilst you drop your handmade gifts to us.

If you would like to physically buy something for our patients and their loved ones, or that will help us to raise money for our hospice’s care and support of Wirral families, please see below how you can help.

We are kindly asking for the following items to be donated to our fundraising office (so we can thank you and store the items safely until they are needed). Our fundraising office is open Mon to Fri 9am-5pm:

– Red & white wine
– Suitable tombola & raffle items (unwanted presents)
– Supermarket gift cards (handy for buying patient items year round)
– Nightwear for men & women (t-shirt materials are best, please)

We also have an Amazon Wish List to buy items we would use with our patients and families:

Our Amazon Wish List is here. If you wish to find something similar from a local business or small business website and would like to buy that and have it delivered to us, that’s absolutely fine too and would be very gratefully received. Please could you have any deliveries marked for the attention of:

Wirral Hospice St John’s – Fundraising Office
Mount Road
Higher Bebington
Wirral

Donations:

You may choose to make a personal one-off donation.

Or one of the best ways you could help us is by setting up a regular gift to Wirral Hospice or joining our weekly lottery.

If your company would like to make a corporate donation, sponsor one of our initiatives or your employees would like to get involved in some way,  please contact Jo: 0151 343 0778 | events@wirralhospice.org.

We are always appealing for pre-loved clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, and furniture for our charity shops. We also have an eBay shop for higher-end and brand new items. Please visit our charity shops page for details of where our shops are and how to donate directly or to book a van collection for large pieces of furniture.
