Patient & Family Support Services
Wirral Hospice St John’s recognises that our patients and those close to them have many and varied needs.
All of our care is meticulously planned and provided by our specialist health and social care professionals on an individual basis.
Often family members, friends and other carers may also need some advice and guidance.
We offer the following support services:
- Bereavement support
- Children and young people’s support
- Complementary therapy
- Counselling support
- Occupational therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Social work and benefits advice
- Spiritual care
The Carers Group:
This Group is open to people who care for a patient in any of our Outpatients, Wellbeing Centre, Inpatients Ward or Hospice at Home.
There are regular meetings to share strategies and discuss the experience of caring for a person with a life-limiting illness.
The sessions are facilitated by hospice professionals.
