Charitable Trusts & Large Gifts

Benefact Group: Movement for Good 20 x £5,000 to donate to charities
Please help us try to win one of the £5,000 donations, please vote for Wirral Hospice here.

Charitable Trusts & Large Gifts
We would like to thank all the trusts and individuals who have generously supported us over the years.

Each grant or donation means a great deal to us and the patients receiving our hospice care.

It costs in the region of £7 million per year to deliver our specialist hospice care services.

Approx 60% of our income comes from voluntary sources: individuals, families, groups, companies, and the support of charitable trusts and foundations.

As well as the millions it costs each year to provide our hospice care, we also need to spend up to £250,000 annually on buying or replacing medical equipment, specialist furniture, and other essential wear and tear upgrade works.

We know that sometimes our supporters would like to contribute towards this tangible aspect of our charity’s work.

These are examples of items we seek funding for:

  • Specialist profile bed
  • Pressure relieving mattress
  • Syringe drivers

These are examples of aspects of our work we seek funding towards:

  • Funding towards our Citizen Advice Clinic
  • Funding towards our Children & Young People’s Bereavement service

Our list of needs changes year to year so this is not a comprehensive list.

Charitable trusts:
If you are a charitable trust and wish to support our work with a donation, please contact Sarah McDonnell or Julia Evans: 0151 343 0778 | fundraising@wirralhospice.org

Individuals, family, group or organisation:
If you are an individual, family, group or organisation that would like to help fund equipment or wish to make a gift towards an aspect of our daily running costs UP TO the value of £500, please use this donation link.

If you would like to donate MORE THAN £500, please contact Teresa Nightingale or Julia Evans: 0151 343 0778 | fundraising@wirralhospice.org. This is so that we can discuss specific needs we are seeking funding for and support you with making a direct donation.

We will publicly or privately thank you for your donation, whichever is your preference.

Many thanks

Teresa, Julia & Sarah
