Jenny Porter: Trustee

Jenny is a solicitor and has worked in the legal profession for over 20 years including in private practice for 9 years, followed by 12 years in various in-house legal roles. She specialises in commercial law, and leading governance compliance in heavily regulated sectors.

Currently at Maersk (a Danish owned shipping & logistics company), she is senior legal counsel for UK & Ireland (UKI). Prior to this Jenny held various legal roles including senior legal counsel & head of data privacy for UKI at Fanatics International (US company), head of legal, risk & insurance for UKI at Swissport GB Limited and head of legal at Liverpool Airport.

The role of trustee at Wirral Hospice St John’s appealed to Jenny as she has seen first-hand the incredible work undertaken by the charity, and it gave her a real passion to donate her time and experience.

Brought up in Prenton, attending Wirral Grammar School for Girls, Jenny has lived in Wirral all her life. She now lives in Oxton with her husband, two children and two German Shepherd dogs! Jenny and the family enjoy watching a game of cricket at their local club, Oxton Cricket & Sports Club, or taking their dogs on a long walk.
