Our Bebington charity shop opens under the radar!
Published on: 19/01/2024We haven’t made a big song and dance about it yet, but the hospice quietly opened its newest charity shop at 118, Teehey Lane in Bebington! (A fanfare would have been lost in the pre and post-Christmas commemorations, Light up a Life, and annual events and celebrations, Rudolph Runs and Christmas Tree collections ).
It has already, however, been bringing in plenty of custom from our Bebington community, and beyond, as its prominent position at a busy row of shops, opposite the popular Acorn pub and near the Sainsbury’s garage and convenience store attracts plenty of passing traffic.
Manager, Kate (pictured here above), is excited about the new shop,
“As Wirral Hospice St John’s is at the heart of our whole Wirral community it is great to be reinforcing that at the heart of the Bebington community. We’re so appreciative of local people who donate their pre-loved goods and, of course, our dedicated volunteers who are all absolutely vital in helping us to raise those much-needed funds for our hospice’s specialist care and support. Everyone who comes here can be assured of a warm welcome, an excellent shopping experience and, always, our grateful thanks.”
Pop in and say hello you won’t be able to resist a bargain!
Christmas Fun
While the Bebington team concentrated on filling the store with donated, lovely quality clothing, accessories and other pre-loved goodies, other shops had had a best Christmas window/shop display competition. It was won by our Heswall charity shop! Congratulations to manager Rachel and her valiant volunteers.
Here are the window displays below with Heswall window first:
