We are always appealing for stock for our charity shops:

  • Casual clothing
  • Smart clothing
  • Leisure wear
  • Coats
  • Party wear
  • Accessories
  • Bric-a-brac
  • NOT ACCEPTING BOOKS OR DVDs CURRENTLY
  • NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT DUVETS OR PILLOWS (can’t be sold or recycled)

You may not be aware of this but we are also able to take old clothing (NOT DUVETS OR PILLOWS) that may not be suitable for selling but they can be recycled and raise funds for us that way. Please keep them in a separate bag and mark as ‘rag recycling’.

Each of our shops is able to accept stock donations through its doors, unless they are too full in the back sorting area. In which case you may be politely turned away. Our shops are reliant on volunteers supporting us so sometimes sorting donations can take much longer where we have volunteer gaps so your kind understanding will be hugely appreciated!

We kindly request that you donate items in carrier bags, small bin bags or small boxes that can be carried easily by our volunteers.

If you have more than a couple of bags and boxes to donate, we kindly ask that you call your preferred shop (numbers below) just to check that they have space for your donations. We’d hate you to be disappointed if you turn up and they have to politely decline you.

If you’re upgrading large pieces of furniture, please consider donating your good quality pre-loved items to us:
We are always appealing for furniture for our charity shops! We invite supporters to get in touch if you have larger items of furniture you’d like to donate to our charity, We offer a FREE furniture collection service for the following items:

  • Sofas*
  • Lounge furniture
  • Dining tables & chairs
  • Beds with mattresses*
  • Bedroom furniture
  • Other large items

* Fire safety labels must still be attached to any upholstery items

Please call 0151 334 2558 (Mon to Sat 9-4.30pm) or email van@wirralhospice.org with your name, address, daytime contact number, a list of the furniture, and photos of the items.

This helps us to assess how many people we need to collect certain items, and also to ensure that the items you’d like to donate are something we can sell via our charity shops. Please be kindly advised, that there are times when we occasionally need to politely refuse items if we know they won’t sell or if it would cost our charity money to dispose of them.
