Hospice Care Week
Hospice Care Week is an annual campaign organised by Hospice UK to raise the profile of hospice care across the UK.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to say a great big thank you to our supporters, as well as share useful information about hospice care.
Approx 40% of our income comes from the government.
This means that our local community supports around 60% of the cost of adult hospice care on the Wirral, by:
✅ Buying from our charity shops
✅ Playing our weekly lottery
✅ Making regular, one-off or in-memory donations
✅ Taking part runs and challenge events
✅ Organising fundraising events such as charity nights, music events, quizzes and coffee mornings
✅ Local businesses making donations, having collection boxes or employees doing their own fundraising
✅ Leaving gift in Wills
We do not take the support we receive for granted and are always grateful for all the ways in which our supporters help. Thank you!

Many people still think that hospices are places with beds for end-of-life care, but modern hospice care is so much more than that.
Did you know that at Wirral Hospice, we provide a vast range of care and services that support patients, their families and those important to them, as well as other health professionals working in roles in other care settings.
