Young Adult Palliative Care Study Day
Course aims:
- Overview of young adult services based at Claire House
- Understand the nuances of Young People receiving Palliative Care
- 3 young people will be attending to provide lived experiences of Duchenne, and talk through their experience of advanced care planning.

Any healthcare professionals who may see (or have an interest in) Young adults (18-25)

Course content
- Clinical session on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
- Clinical session on Gastrointestinal Dystonia
- Session on Advanced Care planning for young people.
- Q&A session with Dr Jess McWilliam, CNS Louise Smith and Transition Lead Nurse Andy Curtis – giving the chance to trouble short tricky scenarios.
