His Honour John Roberts has been President of Wirral Hospice since November 2014 when he took over from Lady Stoddart.
His Honour is a native of Wirral having lived on the peninsula nearly all his life. He practised as a barrister on the Northern Circuit for 23 years with chambers in Liverpool. In 1993 he became a circuit judge sitting initially in Manchester and Bolton. In January 2002 he returned to his home city sitting in Liverpool Crown Court. He also sat at the Old Bailey. He retired from the bench in December 2012.
He joined Wirral Hospice as an Ambassador in December 2012 prior to his Presidency.
Mr Johnny Prestt, Ambassador
Johnny Prestt was born on the Wirral and has lived here all his life, except for four years when he travelled the world on his yacht!
He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and was a partner at the firm Mason Owen, where he worked for 36 years.
He retired recently and enjoys shooting, walking, golf, cooking and sailing.
Johnny became a Wirral Hospice Ambassador in April 2014.
Mr Peter Lees, Ambassador
Peter Lees has lived in Wirral all his life.
He was a solicitor by profession and practised in Wirral all his professional career. He was a partner in Lees Solicitors of Birkenhead and Wirral founded by his grandfather in 1889.
He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Birkenhead for many years. His hobbies include golf, cycling and gardening.
Peter became a Wirral Hospice Ambassador in April 2015.
