Patient Safety
The safety of our patients is the first priority for everybody at Wirral Hospice St John’s
Our Patient Safety Incident Response Plan (PSIRP), which you can download from here and below, sets out how we will respond to any patient safety incidents over the next 12 to 18 months before our next review.
We will always be flexible and consider the specific circumstances in which any patient safety issues and incidents occurred and the needs of those affected.
The PSIRP details how WHSJ will seek to learn from patient safety incidents reported by staff and patients, their families, and carers as part of our work to continually improve the quality and safety of the care we provide, and in turn improve the experience for all involved.

Hospices across Cheshire & Merseyside (C&M) worked collaboratively whilst initially implementing PSIRF. They continue to meet to address challenges with implementing PSIRF and to share best practice and learning, supporting WHSJ local focus for quality improvement.
