‘No conversation too tough’: Learning with the Ruth Strauss Foundation

Published on: 17/07/2024

Wirral Hospice St John’s is working in collaboration with the Ruth Strauss Foundation facilitating a series of workshops preparing children for parental death,  No Conversation Too Tough.

The foundation’s aim is to support and empower patients to prepare their children for their death. The training sessions will give professionals the skills to feel confident and knowledgeable in supporting  families.

The second workshop, in a series of three, was facilitated by our hospice’s children and young person’s practitioner, Annmarie Robertswood, and Alison Meehan from the Ruth Strauss Foundation, bringing together professionals from Wirral Hospice St John’s, the integrated specialist palliative care team, and other professionals working in the field of palliative care.
