Christine Sutcliffe: Special birthday cathedral abseil!

On Saturday 23^rd July, at around 8.30am, Wirral Hospice St John’s Clinical Services Director, Christine Sutcliffe, celebrated the first part of her 50^th birthday by abseiling down the world famous Liverpool Anglican Cathedral!

WOW! There are calmer ways of enjoying a birthday.

Chris decided to take on the exhilarating challenge to support the hospice after she saw which date had been set for it! (It was just a coincidence Chris…. Honestly).

She was up at the crack of dawn excitedly (nervously?) anticipating the ‘jump’, supported by husband, Andrew, and boys, James and  Edward, alongside other family friends and hospice supporters.

The grateful thanks of everyone at Wirral Hospice St John’s are with Chris and we believe, contrary to some earlier advice, she did have a quick glance down before she leapt!
