Our Volunteer Gardeners #hospiceheroes

On a lovely day like today our hospice gardens are at their most beautiful.  However they don’t get this way by accident, we have some real Hospice Heroes working hard all year round to keep the garden looking as good as it does – our wonderful team of Hospice gardeners.

We have beautiful award winning gardens here at Wirral Hospice and our volunteer gardeners are here working hard come rain or shine.

Heather, Rod, Ed and Stan have been volunteering over many years to ensure that our patients and their families are able to enjoy the garden area. In the summer months patients often come out into the gardens in their beds, giving them a chance to enjoy some fresh air in beautiful surroundings.
