Anniversary Midnight Walk set to be biggest yet.
Published on: 19/07/2013Wirral Hospice St John’s Midnight Walk 2013 looks set to be the biggest yet as Wirral Hospice celebrates 30 years of caring for the Wirral Community.
Now in its 5th year, the Midnight Walk is a ladies-only sponsored walk that attracts supporters from across the Wirral to join in and walk united for a good cause. Ladies who have been a part of the event in previous years see the walk as a great opportunity to get together with family and friends for a night out with a difference, all whilst raising money for their local Hospice.
The evening begins at Sacred Heart Church in Moreton where walkers collect their goody bags and flashing bunny ears and take part in a one minute silence. A warm-up gets our ladies ready for the walk – this year to music from the 30’s to keep in theme with Wirral Hospice’s special birthday celebrations. Once warmed, supporters then start the 5.5 mile walk to Morrison’s in West Kirby, where they will be greeted with a certificate and a well-deserved pat on the back!
By taking part in this special event and raising sponsorship, supporters will be helping to ensure that the Hospice is able to provide the essential care needed for future patients and their families in Wirral. So get a group together and join us at midnight on Saturday 21st September for an event that is guaranteed to be exciting, different and rewarding.
To join in the fun for only £10 and to wear your own pair of flashing bunny ears with pride, call the Wirral Hospice Fundraising Office on 0151 343 0778 or register online below:
