One of our patients, John, has started a humourous personal blog about his stage 4 cancer.

wirral_hospice_john_roberts_patient_blogJohn was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer in September 2012 and after being referred by his GP started coming to Wirral Hospice St John’s as a regular outpatient back in December.

In John’s blog, he shares his personal experience of being diagnosed and the subsequent treatment he’s undergone to manage the disease. Or Horace as he calls the ‘little bugger’.

As with all of our patients, we wish John continued strength and we will do all that we can to provide the medical support and nursing care that is needed to help manage his illness.

Find out more about how our Hospice can help care for patients. We also have a 24hr advice and information line that can be called by patients, families and carers: 0151 482 8988.

Since posting this blog, John’s wife has also started her own blog. Well worth a read too!
