Sunflower Memories

This summer, we are remembering those special to us with beautiful, limited-edition metal sunflowers. Supporters are invited to celebrate the life of their loved ones by making a donation for a sunflower.

Each bright yellow sunflower is 51 cm (20 inches) tall. We kindly ask for a suggested minimum donation of £25 per sunflower, which are now available to collect from our hospice fundraising office Mon-Fri 9-5. We can also post sunflowers for an additional £5 per flower.

As we have a small number of sunflowers available, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so please donate early to avoid disappointment.

Our Sunflower Memories campaign will help our hospice to continue to care for our patients and their loved ones at our hospice and out in our Wirral community.

I want Wirral Hospice St John’s to treat my donation and all donations I have made in the last four years and all donations I make from the date of this declaration until I notify you otherwise as Gift Aid donations. I understand that if I pay less income tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

I am not a UK taxpayer and cannot Gift Aid this donation.

1. To qualify for Gift Aid you must have paid enough UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the amount that all charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs will reclaim against my gifts to them in the appropriate tax year, currently 25p for each £1 that you donate. Other taxes such as Council Tax and VAT do not qualify.

2. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying Wirral Hospice St John’s.

3. If in the future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your UK Income and Capital Gains equal to the tax claimed by Charities, you can cancel your declaration.

4. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self-Assessment tax return.

5. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, please contact us or refer to the HMRC website

6. Please notify us if you change your name or address.
