Complementary Therapy
Wirral Hospice St John’s offers free complementary therapy treatments, which can be used alongside conventional medical treatments to aid symptom control, provide emotional balance, and promote a sense of wellbeing.
We offer complementary therapy to people under our care on the inpatient unit, wellbeing centre, and outpatients.
Our complementary therapy lead, and trained complementary therapy volunteers, offer treatments such as:
- Massage
- Reflexology
- Indian head massage
- Reiki
- Hypnotherapy
Complementary therapies can:
- Reduce stress levels
- Relax muscles
- Relieve tension
- Help with pain relief
- Induce calm and relaxation to mind and body
- Improve circulation
- Enhance quality of sleep
We are always looking for complementary therapists to volunteer and join our team to offer therapies to those we care for.
If you would like to find out more about this, please visit our Patient & Family Care Volunteers page or contact our volunteer services team: 0151 334 2778 | volunteering@wirralhospice.org, thank you.
