Queen's Award

Volunteers’ Week is an annual event which takes place at the start of June. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK. It’s run by NCVO in partnership with Volunteer Development Scotland, Volunteer Now (Northern Ireland) and Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

Wirral Hospice St John's simply could not be where it is today without our army of Hospice Heroes to support us! Thank you to each and every person who has dedicated their time to helping us care for our patients and families, or support the running of our Hospice behind the scenes (kitchen, cafe, housekeeping, and office support), and to those who have helped us with fundraising activities (events, charity shops, lottery, stuffing envelopes!).

Do you want to be a Hospice volunteer!

Could you join our army of 500 volunteers, our Hospice Heroes, based at the Hospice or out in the local community? Volunteers have been involved with our Hospice right from the very beginning, giving their commitment, skills and energy to support our work with patients, their carers and families. Giving your time can be just as valuable a gift to our Hospice as a financial donation.
