Flu and Norovirus

In order to protect our patients, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting Wirral Hospice St John's if you or those close to you have been suffering with flu-like symptoms or nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea.

Please contact the Hospice's main reception on 0151 334 2778 in the first instance so that the Nurse in Charge can discuss with you if a visit to our Inpatient Ward or Outpatient Unit would be advisable. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Signing In

Visitors are asked to sign in and out at reception for security purposes. Our volunteer receptionists may work short sessions each week, so may not be familiar with all visitors.

Meals, beverages and snacks are available from our Hub Café. There are also vending machines dispensing hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Visitor Parking

We request that visitors do not park in front of, or on, the road leading to our Hospice main entrance.

Visitor parking is available at Clatterbridge Health Park in the car parks managed by Wirral University Teaching Hospital at a cost of £3.20 per visit. The first 20 minutes are free. Click here for more detailed information. Parking concessions are also available for patients’ families, carers and visitors on request at Willow House immediately adjacent to our Hospice. Please see our nursing staff for more information.

No Smoking

Our Hospice, its grounds and all of the adjoining Clatterbridge Health Park are ‘No Smoking’.
