Visitors are welcome every day. However, there are occasions when visiting is restricted to essential visiting only on the Inpatients Ward:-
Children are welcome to visit relatives in our Hospice but short visits may be advisable. Please speak to the Nurse in Charge.
Patients’ pets are allowed to see their owners at the discretion of the Nurse in Charge.
Click here for information about visitor parking.
In order to protect our patients, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting Wirral Hospice St John's if you or those close to you have been suffering with flu-like symptoms or nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea.
Please contact the Hospice's main reception on 0151 334 2778 in the first instance so that the Nurse in Charge can discuss with you if a visit to our Inpatient Ward or Outpatient Unit would be adviseable. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated, thank you.
Occasionally, we have a number of families wishing to stay overnight if they need to be near a patient during critical points in their illness and where possible we provide overnight facilities.
We currently have a small ensuite Family Room.
When more than one family requests use of the room, it will be allocated out at the discretion of the Nurse in Charge.
We can also provide details of local hotels and B&Bs on request.
