Inpatients Admissions

Our ward is for patients with complex health needs which cannot be met by specialist palliative care providers elsewhere.

Our patients are generally admitted for a two week period. Plans for discharge and future care will be discussed on admission.

Discharge takes place when our specialist palliative care intervention is no longer required.

What to bring

If you are being admitted, please bring the following:-

  1. Any drugs or medicines you are taking or using
  2. Day clothes
  3. Pyjamas and/or nightdress
  4. Dressing gown and slippers
  5. Bath towel and hand towel
  6. Toiletries
  7. Books and magazines
  8. Mobile phones, laptops, notebooks. NB. For safety purposes, we will carry out a Portable Appliance Test on these items

We ask that discretion is used when making and receiving calls, texts etc. Please respect the privacy of others and refrain from using cameras/mobile phone cameras/video recording.

Wirral Hospice cannot be held responsible for any of your personal belongings and valuables that are brought into the Hospice.
